xDROP

The xDROP is a male-to-female socket block connection bracket designed to drop your steadicam arm connection to the vest by approximately 85mm (3.4″) and offset it to the side by 55mm (2.2″).

This design creates more space between the operator’s gimbal-controlling arm and the articulated stabilizer arm, improving arm freedom and space between the vest, arm, and sled.

The female socket end allows for a greater tilt adjustment angle (up to +/-16.5 degrees, depending on the male socket block) than traditional ones. With adjustment possible from both female socket block ends, you have significantly more tilt flexibility.

The xDROP is not permanently fixed, allowing you to either leave it connected to the articulated stabilizer arm and insert it in/out of the vest as one piece or leave it on the vest and connect/disconnect the arm as usual.

This is particularly useful for GPI PRO vest owners operating goofy, where the waist latch lock can interfere with a drop-down bracket.
