A new feel for the GPI PRO Titan™
The Flowcine xCORE spring core system is a upgrade designed specifically for the GPI PRO Titan™ arm, built on the same elastomer-based spring technology used in our new xARM Neo. Instead of traditional steel spring behavior, these rubber-based spring cores introduce a progressive, naturally damped response.
At the core of the upgrade is a major weight transformation. A Titan arm equipped with conventional canisters typically weighs between 5.6 and 5.75 kg. With the Flowcine xCOREs installed, that drops dramatically to between 3.62 and 4.12 kg. A weight reduction of 28-35%. The result is an arm that moves into the weight class of modern designs, reducing operator fatigue and making long shooting days noticeably easier on the body without sacrificing lifting power.
Smoother motion, superior step absorption
The change in motion behavior is equally significant. The elastomer spring core stores and releases energy in a progressive way while also acting as a natural damper. This leads to smoother energy return, reduced micro-oscillation, and far better absorption of operator footsteps. Ultra-slow creeping shots become easier to control, the arm settles faster, and rebound errors are virtually eliminated. The feel is more organic and forgiving, especially in precision work where subtle movement control matters most.
The system also slightly increases the arm’s physical limitations. With the Flowcine xCOREs installed, operators gain approximately 2 cm of additional boom range, providing a bit more vertical working travel without changing the arm’s geometry or balance characteristics.
Simple integration, long-term serviceability
Integration into day to day routine is straightforward. Adjustment is done using the same Allen wrench operators already use on their original canisters, meaning no special tools or workflow changes are required. From an ownership perspective, the system is designed to be both practical and economical. The spring cores have a typical lifespan of 2–5 years depending on usage, and once the core reaches the end of its cycle, only the rubber element needs to be replaced. Operators can carry out replacements themselves, avoiding the cost and downtime of full canister servicing.
Each xCORE Set includes four grey cores and two blue cores, allowing multiple lift configurations. Depending on how they are combined, the system covers a wide working range – from lightweight builds around 5 kg up to fully loaded camera systems of 32 kg. This modularity allows operators to fine-tune the arm to match anything from tiny stripped setups to heavily accessorized rigs.
In essence, the Flowcine xCORE system modernizes the GPI PRO Titan™ by reducing weight, smoothing motion, improving slow-move control, and expanding usability – all while remaining simple to install and maintain. It’s a mechanical upgrade that doesn’t just change specifications, but fundamentally changes how the arm feels in real-world operation.
